ARCATA — October 26, 2026. People interested in Arcata’s second annual Dink or Treat Pickleball Tournament have until Thursday, October 29 to sign up, unless divisions fill sooner. The city will hold the Halloween-themed event at the Arcata Community Center on October 31 and November 1.
How the event is organized
Mixed doubles are scheduled Saturday October 31. Women’s doubles take place Sunday morning November 1, followed by men’s doubles Sunday afternoon. Competitors must be at least 12 years old. Skill divisions cover players at levels 3.0 and 3.5, separated by gender categories and age groups under or over 60.
Costs and registration rules
The published charge is $50 per team of two players, not $50 each. Players must sign up with a partner already selected; the city will not match people into teams. Registration closes October 29 at the end of the day, and waitlists will be used if spaces open after a division fills. Competitors bring their own paddles; nets and balls are supplied.
Costumes are encouraged but optional. Winners in tournament divisions and the costume competition receive medals. Event shirts cost $20 each while available, a separate expense from registration.
For registration and complete rules, use the official Dink or Treat event page or call the Arcata Recreation Office at 707-822-7091. This is a limited-capacity recreation tournament rather than a citywide free community party.
